RTX Board
Creating these boards was my first opportunity at creating something that could be made tangible. I worked on and off at RTX for some time and was asked if I wanted to work on a design for a board. After holding my first design in my hands, I knew this is something I really wanted to do. Although I was only able to make a few designs, I am forever grateful for the opportunity.

Charlotte Hornets
This was the first board I made for the shop. I was asked to make a Hornets Basketball inspired board, to create a “Charlotte, NC” design. So I took the classic Charlotte Hornet and made him a skater.

Whale, Whale, Whale, What Do We Have Here?
For my second design I was given free reign to do whatever I wanted. At the time of this board’s creation, I kept hearing the story of Jonha and the Whale.
So I thought why not put it on a board, but make it about skateboarding too? At the time of its run, this board was the top seller of my designs.

ManBat and BirdBoy
For my third design I wanted to do something silly. This skate deck took inspiration from Carmine Infantino’s 1966 iteration of the hero and sidekick duo of Batman and Robin. But this is my interpretation of them as a bat and robin, with legs.

Since the last few boards were more on the complex side of things. I wanted to do something fun and simple for the fourth. This came with an upside! This design was later converted into a 4 color design and was put on a small cruiser board.

Bee’s Knees
This was my fifth design, but I never knew if it made it to print. I wanted to do something different, the last few boards were heavy on the blue side. Since it was around spring and summer time, I wanted to do something with nature. And so the bee board was made.
